I never got to see her live or anything.. my mother was a great fan and forced me to watch the karen carpenter movie when i was 5 lol fell in love with it straight away and watched every day after school till i was 12 when VHS Tapes became a thing of the past.. personally, i admired richard, song writer singer and all.. and was trully humble enough to let the record label sign Karen instead of him.. but i still love them both.. this song is my favourite.. R.I.P Karen Carpenter..

Yes, it is "You must surrender if you CARE". The guy's "Hooh!!"(1:21) is a great touch to the song too. Love it!!

Karen had a voice like no one else , and as the video and song shows she was an accomplished drummer. We will not see her like again.
