Losi 810

Showing off Rodney's new 810. This is his 3rd week out with it. The only changes from stock are a set of AKA City Block tires, and the diff oils have been swapped out for 5000, 7000, 2000 weight oil, in the front, center, rear. What is the Losi 810? It is basically a compact light weight 1/8-scale buggy. Everything about it is about 98% of the size of a standard 1/8-scale buggy. Sorry Rodney, didn't want you to look too good, had to mess with you at the end.

Mine arrives tomorrow! This video got me pumped. It will be my first Losi, but I've heard only good things about them. I'm looking to get higher-end (1k+) for a buggy and am evaluating Losi and Tean Associated

@GeddyRules2112 Both are good cars of similar quality. In my opinion it comes down to your driving style. I feel Associated has a little more responsive steering, and the Losi is a little more forgiving, and I think it has a little better in air attitude. I prefer Losi for the simple reason that I started with a Team Losi XXT back in '96.

Very nice buggy when it works. After 1 gallon of nitro ive had to replace 2 clutches, 3 spur gears , both clutch bell bearings, one pullstart and the throttle servo.

@XpensiveHobbies Don't you ever wonder why you're the only one having these problems? The car in the video is on its second owner, and still going strong. The only problem it had was with the carb, and that was because it took a hard hit from another car. I know couple guys who have been beating the crap out of their TenTs with no such problems. From your parts list, seems pretty obvious to me you are not setting the gear mesh properly.

You need to be more gentle on the throttle, instead of tapping the throttle, ease it it's better for the engine.
