  • @redzerlucey Right and wrong! ;) Yes they ordered A350-900's but they ordered 6 not for and they also have options for more 6 A350-9! ;)

  • Then there were Boeing's frantic machinations over the A380. "The world doesn't need another 'hub' airliner, our 747-400 fulfills that role admirably. The future of air travel will see more de-centralization and the A380 will be left out to dry" commented one Boeing official. Then there was the story, started by Boeing, that airports and air-side infrastructure would need major upgrades to handle the A380. All this is untrue of course. Meanwhile, Airbus quietly let their products sell themselves

  • Boeing's 787 marketing campaign aggressively targets Airbus. Boeing points out it's perceived weaknesses in the Airbus range and aircraft, specifically mentioning the A330. They are renowned for issuing belligerent attacks on their competitors, especially Airbus. Does anyone remember the seeds of doubt campaign Boeing instigated over Airbus's use of composite materials in its airframes? Due to the use of composites, Boeing claimed the aircraft would be unsafe. Now Boeing use composites too...
