Fire - Horsham 25th October 2009

HORSHAM GATES - JUNCTION OF HARWOOD ROAD & FOUNDRY LANE HORSHAM
Incident:- a building used as office premises at the junction of North
street and Foundry lane, Horsham consisting of ground, first and second
floors - well alight on arrival of the first crews attending from
Horsham - West Sussex Fire and Rescue used 100 firefighters, 2 aerial
ladder platforms 2 ground monitors,and 4 HRS.The building is now in a
state of collapse and the scene of the fire is under investigation -
WrLx2 Horsham, WrLx3 Crawley, L4T Haywards Heath, WrL Billingshurst,
ALP Horsham, BASU Shoreham, WrL Shoreham, WrC Burgess Hill, WrL Burgess
Hill, WrL Henfield, WrLx2 Horley, WrL Dorking (SF&RS) CU Haywards
Heath, WrL Turners Hill, Red Cross Support Unit

i live just down the road and i see this wreck at lest 1 or 2 times a week sometimes more and they started demolishing it about 2 weeks ago

brilliant footage eddiehowland i was there but i didnt get alot of good footage tho :( its the most excitement horshams had in a longtime lol.

I live on Parsonage road which is literally just down the road from this place and I could see the fire from my back garden, it was quite a sight. Never thought a fire that big would be so close to me. And also just down the road from this place is a petrol refinery and the buildings are quite close together in-between, if the fire managed to reach there, well I wouldn't like to think about it
