"I have renounced God to save my life." "But Jeanne before the people you recognized that you were inspired by the devil." "You believe always that you are the elect of the Lord?" "That answer evokes death." "I did not admit it because of my fear of fire." "Have you anything else to say to us?" "We have come to prepare you for death." "Is it now...already?" "What kind of death?" "At the stake." "I am going to look for the sacrement." (to be continued)

Little Boys and Girls, this is how the concept of 'French Roast,' was born.

Hyperbole is used far too much in conveying love or profoundness not only in film, but in life. I can say, without a trace of such hyperbole, that Maria Falconetti's performance in The Passion of Joan of Arc is the greatest, most searing one I've seen. It's probably the best.

Her name was Renee, though she was sometimes credited as Maria.

Falconetti's eyes are are just so hauntingly beautiful to stare at. The only other silent film that is in the same realm of greatness is Metropolis.

It's good, but BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE is the greatest.

    Brillant movie. Reallyu sad.

My cinema teacher told us that David Fincher is a lot inspired by Dreyer. We watched Alien 3 and, it's not false...There's a lot of thigs that look alike this movie.

(sorry for my english, i'm french)
