Do i first need industrial craft before i can download industrial craft 2?

@MysterixiFy no IC was the original mod, then IC2 was an update where the modder recoded all his stuff, and added a bunch of new things and felt like it was appropriate to give it a new name

i know you said no buildcraft. but it could come in handy for getting ores to take off the stress of having to mine.. just spawn your self like 4 quarrys... life is good

btw, gravel blocks arn't useless. if you were to place them back, they would have a chance to break into flint again. that is, if you ever really need flint
