This is a video about the recent typhoon which devastated NCR and its neighboring provinces in the Philippines. The background music is based from Bahay Kubo (nipa hut), a famous Filipino folk song. The lyrics is taken from an anonymous text message I received a few days after Ondoy. A HS classmate, Ronito Calunsod, gave me the idea to turn this into an advocacy video for the Red Cross. Thanks to Jemimah Ubando for lending her sweet voice and Filipino bloggers for posting the pictures on the internet.

  • Oh yeah. I just hope the water level won't be that bad when it reaches Dagupan. Mahirap kung ma-timing sa high tide.

  • putang ina mo............mukha kang kulangot.......at saka meron pa.....ang panghi ng tatay mo

  • great lyrics and way to spread this famous filipino song! it should become as famous as arirang(korea)!

  • I hope there will not be a Pangasinan version of the Bahay Kubo. Earlier, San Roque Dam opened 6 gates to release 2500 cu.meters per second. Water is rising now and the rains keep pouring.
