Alberta Teen Posts Daredevil Stunts on YouTube

CALGARY - Hoping to get started in the movie industry, a Cochrane man has posted videos of himself performing eye-popping stunts on the Internet, but not everyone is a fan.

Chris Ball, 19, who goes by the online moniker Chris Bawl, can be seen leaping from the roof to the hood of a moving SUV, climbing out the driver's window and on to the roof of a moving vehicle, throwing himself off a cliff and jumping from a bridge onto a moving train in the videos posted to YouTube, which he made to kickstart a career in Hollywood.

"I'm using this as a stepping-stone, somewhere to start to incorporate it into something larger," he said.

"The way I see it, every filmmaker, they start off with these stupid videos where 10 years from now they look back and wonder what the hell they were doing."

But police aren't impressed with Ball's skills because some exploits are illegal, said RCMP Sgt. Patrick Webb.

"There's a lack of awareness of the potential to do such serious harm to other people that are not involved," said Webb. "It's just selfishness."

But without having seen the videos being made, charges might be tough for police to lay, said Webb.

My brother drove like that. Then he had a crash, 2 days ago, going too fast round a rural corner. He slammed into a coach coming the other way. He had to be cut outta the car and flown via air ambulance to hospital. He's facing charges, once his 2 broken legs and 1 broken arm have all been sorted out. He's stupid.  So is this guy. You think you're invincible, but.... you're not.
