A compilation of falconry photos for the last two seasons with my first RT. Falconry is regulated by the state and federal government. Do not attempt unless properly certified.

  • Wow, this video made me cry. I'm getting ready to start my own falconry journey. Once I find a sponsor it's full steam ahead! I am already feeling the day when I know it's time to let go of my first RT. This sport has me by the heartstrings and I haven't even started yet!

  • @locolobos0035 Good luck on your journey and remember, it's a marathon and not a sprint.

  • can someone help me with this. i saw a red tail hawk kill a chicken in the park but did not eat it. this is the second day the carcass is laying there with no signs of predation. The question is why not.

  • @bobofed1

Maybe the hawk does not feel secure enough to eat the chicken, especially if there are quite a few people around. The chicken is probably too heavy for the RT to carry away.

  • What a magnificent raptor.

  • @NATURECAMHD Agreed =) It was an honor and privilege to have her for that short while. I often wonder if she has found a mate and raised young of her own by now.

  • Got her through the first couple years, and those are supposed to be the toughest.

I, too, hope she's out there making more Red-Tails. The BEST Raptor IMO....

    Thanks for uploading.

  • Great vid. Very pretty red tail. You seem very well happy. Respect you. God bless you. What song is this?

  • reminds me of my RT

  • @joeballone Kudos to you and all the other falconers for doing your part to help keep the species going. Would love to practice this noble sport, but can't do the change of lifestyle or afford it. So I'll have to just keep photographing them in the wild and enjoy videod like this one.
