@Jax13rev I dont know how in the Deaf community you are or how much you know about Deaf culture but the Deaf are NOT disabled! Being deaf does not inhibit their abilities to do anything except hear. And I felt Glee's "Imagine" was amazing! For Fox to even incorporate the deaf community was an amazing step forward in portraying the deaf community. The only thing I disapproved of was the way they portrayed the hard of hearing instructor. He was obnoxious and offensive!
I saw the company perform during open house weekend in spring of 2009, the performance they did to the song disturbia was amazing and I would love to see it posted online. It was incredibly touching and has really stuck with me the past two years! I would love to see it again!
hola soy Saúl de Michoacan,México felicidades un buenisimo trabajo un sueño, que en México hubiera una universidad para sordos, un saludo afectuoso, hasta pronto.
Once again, Glee has undercut the creative and performative potential of a disabled group. First wheelchair dance and now the "deaf choir" featured on their show is limited to standing there and signing while one student voices the lyrics? Thanks for showing something that really offers a reason to "Imagine" possibilities.
Sigh, my last semester! Graduated 2 months after this interview! I so glad I got to be the stage manager for this show. I sure miss you guys!! I spied me at 3:43 and 3:54 (the back of my head) lol
