We must properly and precisely define health and wellness before we can begin to have a discussion regarding how improve our health. Wellness, simply put, is "living properly".
Interesting video. You made me think that wellness is the activity which sustains health. I like this idea. Does this mean that we can equate health with happiness?
@krizanthium Thanks for your comment. As to your question- is health the same as happiness?" Not in my book. I encourage my patients and clients to live in true wellness. To me, wellness is more similar to happiness. i.e., I have had patients with terminal (cancer) or permanent/chronic (severe degenerative ) illness find great peace (& happiness) in KNOWING that they are doing everything they can to be WELL, yet are still NEVER going to be truly healthy. Yet, they are at peace.
Good Description, I agree many people use the term wellness without understanding how to live well and how to make decisions to live well mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
