0:27 The chapter above says the mountains are firmly placed to keep the earth from moving. First of mountains are not firm, they slowly grow, secondly earthquakes does happen "despite" mountains.
1:05 No one thought that the sun was static at the time. The verse talk of the sun an moon as equals, and says that "we" take the light from the moon at night to make the sun bright at day. In reality it is the exact opposed, the moon reflects the sun and that is why it is "bright" at night.

Asalaam wa alaikum May Allah keep you guided and may you be amongst the Muslims on Judgement day Ameen.

@BaronInternet A typical Muslim response: "You can't read Arabic, so you can't understand the Koran." This is, of course, the last ditch response, because it is the only argument Muslims have which they think can't be refuted....
I suppose that if the copies of the Koran I have access to were translated by someone whose English was as bad as yours, it would account for the descrepancy. However, if you think your testes are: (86:7), as the Koran indicates, you're as wrong as the Koran is.

@Gorteenminogue Did you studied Koran ? Can you read Arabic ? I am affraid not... From this point I consider your opinion as pointless...From your responses it is obvious that you have no IDEA what you are talking about... By the way it 14 hendred years ago and it is said very clearly for a person who speaks fluently arabic that the earth is gravitating around the sun. May God help you.

@BaronInternet I would expect the Koran to be accurate if it were the word of Allah. It isn't in this respect, or indeed in most of the aspects of science on which it touches.
Saying that the Koran indicates we are part of a rotating galaxy is simply not true. No one knew that a hundred years ago - and no-one could learn it by reading the Koran.
-
@Gorteenminogue Ahh hold on, you want the Koran to give the exact guide to the sun's orbit. Well, it is not a science book, it is here to see if you are going to believe the message that it holds. The above information is one of the many proofs that Koran came up with centuries ago, you can still check if your egoistic mind allows you to do so, if you are genuinely curious about what Allah said prior to science feel free to check on the greatest source of information of all the Internet.

@Gorteenminogue Whoops, should have been 86:5-7
-
@rucadamsel It's astonishing that any human couldn't know (85:5-7) where semen was produced in human males.
-
@BaronInternet The reason I reject the above rubbish is because the Koran does not give an accurate guide to the sun's "orbit". The passages describe the apparent orbit of the sun and moon around the Earth, or if you think that is too strong, could as easily describe a geo-centric universe. So, either Allah had an off day when composing the Koran, or it is actually the work of Mohammed, with no deity involved.
I, myself being athiest at the time couldn't help but wonder how in the world would any human being know anything about the universe expanding, or orbits, or better yet, the 3 stages of life in the mothers womb.

It is NOT a coincidence that they are all starting to disappear which could lead to world wide famine. If any of the unbelievers would take the time to actually READ this book, they would embrace Islam as well, and realize that no human could ever come up with something as perfect as the Qur'an
