@spyoung777 By any standards Rude would have been champ numerous times. He retired the champ so he was only going to get better. So much potential.

Rick Rude is inspiring me to lose more weight. I'd like to be in such good shape that I could say what he says and legitimately make people feel bad...hit the music.
-
he looks like Hagar from Final fight the video game

One of the all-time greats. I hope that he gets into the WWE Hall of Fame. This year would be a good time for it, since he did wrestle for the old Championship Wrestling From Florida in the 1980's.
-
@7World2 Very early in his career he was. He went by his real name, Rood, in 1982-83 in Mid-Atlantic and Georgia.

@Griddy152 Actually R-truth as a heel was more comedic than drawing crowd reactions, although the only thing the crowd ever yells at him is WHAT. The only wrestlers now that can draw the same amount of heat that Rude does is Jericho, CM Punk with his straight edge gimmick, and although retired JBL.

I LOVE IT! Rude was 1 of a kind...

If WWE really wanted this sort of crowd reaction, they would let their heels be themselves and shoot promos that aren't prepared by some script writing stooge of Stephanie Mcmahon. With almost no competition for their key demographics, kids, (with MMA's popularity and Linda's politics they have given up targeting 18-30 year olds), they know the product can sell itself, so they don't even need to try.

I miss Rick Rude, this dude was the ultimate heel. The only one nowadays that can draw this type of heat is R-Truth and WWE ruined that by turning him face.

@Adb12San Or one could tell Miz real heels draw heat, not bitch, lol.
Hey Miz; take notes, this is what a true heel is supposed to do. Draw heat, cause fans to boo, not cause fans to leave the building.

I bet you money after this match he went to the locker room and said "Follow That, Fuckers!"
