  • This was my 1st Polini Thor which went on to take me on my attempt to fly round Britain for Charity. It did well until I neglected to replace the gearbox oil often enough near the end of the trip and I seized the clutch. My fault, definitely not the motor's. My consumption was 4-5 litres/hr on a 29 synthesis, but these are not renowned as frugal wings. The 2nd one I purchased with the Bulldog frame & is still going very strong now. Easy to start and getting 3-4 litres/hr on a 26 Speedster wing.

  • I am not sure exactly as it depends on the wing you use too. I weigh 168 pounds and so you may find it a little short on thrust

    - did you keep it?

    - what is the consumption?

    - is it reliable?

    thank you

  • Hi there, I'm considering to buy a Polini engine but not sure if it will take my 220 pounds... what do you think? Am I too heavy for this engine??? Thanks!
