Answer to guga 1958.
I believe this is because Manjula is Jain. They don't use many root vegetables so as not to disturb the soil and kill any little animals in the soil.

aunty i have a bog question where do i find cream(malai) in USA ...all i find is heavy whipping cream or sour cream but not malai . and what to use if i dont find malai . i am in bay area have have access to variety of indian stores but they dont seem to carry malai

I added cashews saltana's and almonds to the kofta balls and I used the wheys liquid from the paneer in the sauce it was the best thing I have eaten yum yum your the best
