This is a 7 seconds high definition video of one of the best shots I have ever taken of the Moon. Mare Crisium and some inner details are visible in this sequence. The telescope used is the big Meade Lightbridge 16-inch with no tracking. It is a Dobsonian reflector telescope.

Please, when watching Astrophotography, like this video, switch on High Definition, otherwise it is a mess due to the YouTube compression algorithms.

  • The telescope costs 1700 US$. The camera costs 100 US$. The rest you need is patience.

  • Absolutely Incredible. Good Job.

  • OMG! Terrific job! Have you tried the new RegiStax? It's new drizzle feature would allow you to create an excellant single image out of such clear images as these. Clears skies and continuing good luck to you. Plez post more.
