Hi there, you live in PA too? Try Erie Car Insurance. Its great. I have a bundle of home and car insurance, and my car insurance alone is really cheap. Please check them out.

I think everyone should be forced to purchase health insurance. Most of the assholes in the USA would not buy it if they were not forced to do so.

We already have mandatory care insurance.. If you don't have car insurance you will get fined or possibly go to jail.. This isn't something new.

@josephdupont You are right I could ride a bike, but that would only work in the summer. There is no way in hell I am going to ride a bike 7 miles down a very busy highway ( the only road to town) in the winter, in fact I think there is a law aganist it. Also my job is very phyically demanding at time, so much so that all I can to after work is go to sleep, so one alot of day I would not be physical able to right a bike home.

@josephdupont You have got to the heart of the US health care debate. But I think if I work for a wage I should get the pay just as anyone else should. The wealthy provide me with a place to earn a wage. I have never worked for a person who was not wealthy. Sure we need a safety net and we have medicaid and welfare (which, I believe, would make the poor pretty well off in most countries) for those who can't afford health care. Thanks again.
WI just enacted mandatory car insurance the first of last month. This means that know I cant afford to drive, which mean I cant get to work, which means I will end up homeless. I live in a small village 7 miles out side of a small city, there is no bus and only cab service around would cost me $35 dollars a day to get to and from work. I hope your happy government.

@defiythelie Unless you are sick you could ride a bicycle 7 miles each way..
At least you have an option. I see your point.. but with mandatory health insurance the only option is to die.

@defiythelie In PA , without collision, I spend about 1200 bucks a year for 3
cars.. actually 2 cars and a big van.. And I carry over 500,000 of liability.
how much i moped insurance.. car pooling.
I know it is a bitch..
I wonder if they will give you financial aid as they say they will with the health insurance. Why not? Good Luck

To compare mandatory car insurance to mandatory health insurance is apples and oranges. Mandatory car insurance is only for liability insurance to protect the other guy, the victim. When congress made waring seat belts and motorcycle helmets mandatory we starting down a different legal path. There's no law that forbids me from cutting my own finger off but I cannot cut my neighbor's finger off.

So why can't I cut off the neighbors finger if I need it more than him or her?
What about burial insurance.. Surely
you believe in that. Everyone will die.
How do we know that there will be enough money left , after the deductible on the medical bills, that the guy or gal cang get a decent funneral.???? Hummm?

@josephdupont Hi josephdupont, reason needs to be the guide in the public policy debate. And doesn't reason say that if my neighbor's finger belongs to him it should stay with him even if I might need it more? I sure think so. Thanks for your response.

I guess , now that you mention it.. regardless of my need for his or her finger, their need for it should trump my need. I see what you mean. Like what is theres is theres and what's mine is mine. but what if I need some of their money..
OK I won't take their finger. I might need their money really badly.. And if they have a lot.. why should they care. Are gong to try to make the same argument??
After all Granted if I their finger the can't grow a new one. But money .? they can make more!
