  • I notice you use the pressure cooker in a lot of recipes. Do you think it would be a good investment? Seems to make cooking a lot quicker and simpler!

  • @MonicaReally : Pressure Cooker is a great investment and we use it constantly. Please make sure you read the instructions well before you use it. We just LOVE the PC (pressure cooker).

  • Have you tried using an electric/rice cooker?

  • @randomizatiification : We have not tried that yet - but will do so soon. Will keep everyone posted.

  • and what do you eat brown rice with?

  • no need to soak the rice beforehand?

  • @MonicaReally My friends from India gave me one of the pressure cookers old roommates left behind when they moved, and it's honestly the best thing I've ever received, especially as far as cooking! It makes things so much quick, simpler, and it makes it VERY easy to eat better! I love it!

  • Not able to view it, can you please reupload it?

    Thanks

  • There is a brown boiled rice Indian variety called Rose matta rice. Available in Indian stores here in the US. You can try cooking that the same way as this but using a little more water. It is extremely healthy and tastes extremely good.

  • One could be used for sushi, and the other for rice dishes.

  • Doing brown rice in microwave also gives a separate texture and will take lesser time than the 40-50 minutes that these two methods take. The key is to keep the brown rice soaked in water for at least half an hour or more after washing it, and then it will cook in about 15-20 minutes at full power in microwave...

  • I use my pressure cooker to make rice. I recommend that you reduce the amount of water by 1/4 to 1/3 cup and bring it to one whistle... allow to rest for 5 min after pressure drops... Thanks for your videos... pls keep them coming. :-)
