How can david cameron support this idea and then put in his manifesto...
"They [Labour] have launched endless initiatives and top-down schemes which have made little difference.... We can't go on with the police filling in forms instead of fighting crime."
Surly this idea contradicts his policy of giving the police less 'form filling'
However I do love the idea of Boris trotting down to the met and saying "Listen here chaps, this is a jolly good idea so how about it what-ho?"

@Dendiol Too right. Chris Grayling, although he's a safe pair of hands, is no David Davis.

crime mapping so if I want to live in a certain area and I cant afford to due to high house prices alls I have to do is mug someone and burn out car on that street and it will take a couple of grand off the price....nice one dave

It's a real shame that David Davis stepped down as he would have made an ace Home Secretary.

Its more than frustration; its anger

VVendettaz, thanks for another muddled and contradictory message! What is ironic is that so many people are more willing to make life easier for criminals, terrorists and tyrannical regimes than they are to safeguard democracy, justice, and the rule of law.
I am warming to the party on the issue of crime. I am utterly sick of Labour ineffectiveness and the Lib Dems standing up for criminals. I have never voted Tory and a few years ago wouldn't have even considered it, but this is an issue I am deeply pationate about; I know firsthand the stress and mental anguish crime causes. If there was a general election just on this topic, my vote would go tory.
