If I did apply to the Space Academy, I wouldn't do it for myself, but for my boyfriend. I would gladly give him my spot because it has been his dream for several years to be an astrophysicist and explore the wonders and mysteries of space personally, but his dream died when NASA's shuttle program got shut down. He was devastated at this event. I believe that it is important for people to live their dreams and I know that he would be so very grateful to experience one of the things he loves most.
