  • Saw these guys in '89 and '90, both times with the incomparable Mervyn Warren. Bela Fleck and the Flecktones rocked the house as the opening act to the '89 show in San Antonio. After the break, all you could see was a dark stage and 6 lonely mics. But then, ever-so-gently, a slow fade-in of luscious harmony like none I'd heard before. Once the audience caught on that it was the Star-Spangled Banner, the place went ballistic. It set the stage for an unforgettable night of vocal theatrics.

  • Sooo much fun; both to hear and watch!! Gr8 visual entertainment! You know you rock! Hey, I just noticed they'd put their ages after their names.

  • Yo, I just realized that Mervyn was quoting Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" on his entrance....nuts!!

  • hmm I prefer the a cappella version even if Cedric Dent's piano touch is baaad !! I like his vocal perc. thing...

  • LOL!! Imagine that!

  • They are truly the best group of all time..

  • It lacks Cedric Dent's piano...

  • When Jesus was born, the angels better have sung THAT to him

  • Brilliance... I'm SURE GOD knows these people by name...
