This was the last song of the Department Of Eagles show in Portland sung by Daniel Rossen of Grizzly Bear.
Pretty cool vocal loop.

  • true that Daniel Rossen is a musical genius!

  • Daniel Rossen is bad ass. Without him, Grizzly Bear wouldn't be where their at. I wonder what tuning he's in?

  • D6 DADF#BD And just play frets basically Fret 4,5,7 and then open, is the chorus As for the verses 444300 and then open Then fret seven then fret five and then the second fret Then on "Oh don't you hear it all" and "I'd leave them all behind" I think is 024000 And the part right before the chorus is 999800 777700 555500 444300 222200 Really hope this helps! *u*
  • I love the 'old movie' choirs if that makes any sense :)

  • @rcraig08 well said my friend. I was writing an article the other day about these type of videos - the ones that you randomly stumble across and their simple beauty renders you speechless and utterly surrendered to the present moment. Then you notice the view count and wonder exactly when it was that culture perished... ha ha. The looped harmony at the start of this gets me every time.

  • @LanceSmith87 Open D6 - DADF#BD

  • @magbutville

have a look at the bootleg section at the grizzly bear forum "finefornow".

  • I believe it's the BOSS-RC E700 model with extra suspension.

  • does anyone know what type of loop pedal he uses?

  • I know it's in a D6 but it's killing me not being able to play this. It's too brilliant not to know on the guitar.

  • I wish I could find the mp3 for this track... I'm already watching this and the KCRW video of it EVERYDAY. It's sooo good.

  • we are all on the same page here. another one of those great videos, little seen, but cherished so strongly by those who have. the version in england is probably better.
