I have 300 on blu ray, and it looks really grainy. I have to turn the sharpness way down, and when I watch Predator with Arnold on blu ray, it looks fine. Anyone have the same problem? I have a Samsung 40" LCD 1080p hooked up via HDMI to a Panasonic DMP-BD30 blu ray player. Iron Man looks incredible on the same equipment by the way. Any help would be appreciated.

lol, the worst part about it, IMO, was it was based off the graphic novel, which was made because he saw 'the three hundred spartans' an older 300 movie, which was based off the event.

I disagree with your take on the captain's line about his son. He regretted never having told him what he truly felt. I don't think it was out of place at all.

With the rest of the tone of the picture, along with background about how male children were raised in that culture, the Captain's expression of love for his son felt jarring and out of place to me. His screaming off for revenge was just as much an expression of love as the line of dialog.
