Ryze had a rework a while back, this is the old Ryze when he was good as an AP builder, and the Q was not the spam spell it is now.

@blackcrowdkilla BULSSHIT!! What low MR, low skill people do you play against??!!! EVERYTHING IN ONE BURST?? STARTING WITH W?? ARE YOU RETARDED?? New Ryze is about SUSTAINED damage, not burst. You do it by pressing Q-something-Q-something-Q-some­thing etc. You never start with W, that would be retarded. Go and play the new Ryze against non-retarded enemies and you'll see. And how does R help you kill someone? All it does is give you Svamp and AoE damage.

and his damage is still in one burst and can be dealt in less than a second. if you press shift, then press W, Q, E, Q.

if you want to kill someone, simply press R.

also, do this when the enemy is with a minion wave so the E can bounce off to the enemy a couple of times.

the only thing you need with ryze is a good aim and fast button smashing. if you don't include general map awareness and creep control

@blackcrowdkilla Haha, no. New ryze is much more skill-based, old ryze was press W and then anything else. YOU HAVE SLAIN AN ENEMY!!! New Ryze plays more like AD carries, you need positioning and good judgement because his damage takes a while to deal.
