  • Why do you play the pedals without shoes? Is it more practical? Or is just to show better the technique?

  • I play without shoes because i "feel" better the pedal board. Playing with shoes, sometime, it's like playing the snare drum with gloves !!! :D :D

This video is old, and i can tell you now I use Iron Cobra Pedals and i play "with" shoes...

With shoes you have much power, but less control ! Usually, I play without shoes when i need to play music with long feet rolls... it's more relaxing and more easy (less weight on the feets)

  • Thanks for your comment shadowlorde !

This is an old video, now i'm improving this technique with iron cobra pedals... Soon as possible i will upload new material.

What about your technique ?? Let's see your page... :D

  • yes! please do that...i want to see how the iron cobras react! you rock!

    happy new year!

  • Happy new year to you, andres... soon as possible i will upload a new video with iros cobras.

  • Please let me know what is better to use when playing double pedal. Your whole leg or just your ankles?

  • That's depend. My technique is based on put some weight on the pedals, mantaining the rebound over time.

I use different muscles of the leg, but not all-togheter... it's a combination of motions, and it's difficult to explain... Try it, forget to do all strokes , search for "move"

This video is a response to Axis pedals, do they have enough power?

  • @epfsoad, cool story bro. and btw they are 200 dollars each. get your facts straight

  • thats not flatfoot ur just barely lifting the heel up so its heels down i use it for faster speeds 200 bpm+

  • That is just a heel toe method done kinda sloppy. LOL

  • @LapidaDrummer well its personal preference i have better grip and feel with shoes an allows me to achieve higher speeds its all personal prefrence :)

  • pull your socks up.xD

  • is that the real flat-foot technique?

  • @LapidaDrummer Strangely enough, I've noticed that I play faster without my shoes on but I have more control and power with my shoes on.... just a little bit opposite of your experience.

@ Jabasto each drummer's preferences are different. Find what's comfortable for you.

  • good for you you can by 600 dollar pedals and I can still go faster than you on a freaking dixon double pedal

  • I find myself having more control with shoes. Could be because I've played with shoes the last two years ;). Just got into this double pedal thingy (been training for the last five months I think) and I'm up in a solid 150-160 now, can push it to 170-180 but that usually ends up pretty damn sloppy. By the way, this vid was very good except for the fact that your snare sounds kinda bad to me. I think I'll stick to the normal single strokes when it comes to the bass drum though ;).
