@Nuggethunting Hello guys,I have just bought a GPX 5000,what would be the best setting to find very small to large nuggets.I'm in Melbourne Australia.Appreciate your expert views

Fisher Gold Bug 2 is probably the best detector out there for finding small nugs in the bedrock. In my humble opinion.

...What are gold nuggets worth per ounce? Looks like an interesting hobby.

Hello Elpimpo, I have to agree, the Goldbug2 is great for small nuggets. I personally own one also. That being said, they struggle when you get around mineralization, so my Minelab is my primary detector for nuggets down to about a grain or so, anything smaller I can bring in the GB2 for crumbs.

Hello Fox, Probably the best metal detector for gold anyone is going to find today. Minelab is tops for metal detecting.

The Minelab GPX-4500 is the best gold detector available. Gold Nuggets right now are worth around $1,100 per ounce spot. However, most finders will not sell gold nuggets for spot, but for 5-15% more than spot due to how rare gold nuggets are.
