I own torchlight. It's not a Diablo but its fun to play. I would recommend it to anyone. The moding can be fun to.

Remove FX effects, glitter and glow... Really, torchlight doesn't show any real INCREDIBLE new game mechanic... My point of view :)
-
@CaptainRetardify It's one thing to charge $60 for a good game. Its another thing to demand a constant internet connection and deny modability when the competitor offers all that at $20...

I can't stress enough how good Blizzard makes gaming so realistic.

@RedofYellow Yeah not being able to play Diablo 3 offline has made me prefer Torchlight 2, Blizzard made a bad move on that regard.
-
@Dromieris I aggree :) Why be messed up by 2 different games, when them both are fun? :D

@PurpleDolphiN42 Respect :D

@PurpleDolphiN42 I have to agree, Torchlight just has really awesome gameplay. And now its got multiplayer and its $20 and you can play it offline.

Why we try to find the best ?
There are both good games, play them both :D
Diablo was better than Diablo 2, but I enjoy both of them
I think Diablo 3 would be worse from Diablo, but will play a lot of hours on Diablo 3
Torchlight and torchlight 2 are great games and I will play them both :P

@bibbed87 For the uninformed neckbeards: Torchlight was made by pretty much every key member of Blizzard North, the former Blizzard subsidiary that developed Diablo I and II. Such folks include the Schaefer brothers (Schaefer's Hammer, anyone?) and Matt Uelmen, the composer. The Torchlight footage seen here shows a community mod -- a dungeon replicating the one seen in the Diablo III gameplay trailer, also featured here. It's not an original Torchlight map.
