@janicethepotter Hi, very, very nice results! Did you say that all of these samples were achieved at cone 5/6 in an electric kiln?
-
Thank you for your response - its so helpful to not have test a combo of glazes. I love your results. Thanks and I appreciate your videos.

@TheDeannaD You're right... I've had many test results that were disapointing. Been traveling from FL to CT and getting the house and pottery in order in CT for the last four weeks. Looking forward to getting back into the clay. Selected 4 new Standard Ceramic Glaze colors to experiment with this summer! Will be certain to share successes and failures. Thanks for the comment. Regards, Janice

Love the glazes, especially chambray and irridescent Iron, do you paint, spray or dip to glaze? And also, are they're both from standard ceramic glazes? Where can I buy them (online preferably)? Thanks again. :)

@MinaNobody Hi, Thanks for the comment. Both Chambray and Irridecent Iron are from Standard Ceramic Supply. I dip my pottery into 3 - 5 gallon buckets. My glazes are mixed and measured with an hydrometer (a must have for consistent results!) SCS will supply the correct measurement. SCS other favorites are: Chambray, Med Mist, Sea Mist, Fog. See my more current vids (#129) for more glaze results. Regards, Janice

Theres a lot of combinations there. You would do 15 x 14 x 2 ( 2 because you can layer each mix in two different ways) for only two-glaze mixes. High school math can be used in the real world, but it is still useless.
for your system so far I think you have 400 something combinations. One or two a day for a year and you could map them all. lotta clay though.
Just thought I would help :)

@inferiorraven Thanks for commenting... very funny. Take a look at my Glazing Tips video (number sixty something) and you'll see half of the testers I've made to date. The other half are stowed away in a drawer somewhere. From all the tests I have maybe a dozen favorite combinations. Thanks again for watching & commenting, Janice

Are these Amaco glazes or your own recipes? Thanks for the video

@eclecticpotter Hi, I use a number of different glazes - none of which are my own... Speckled brown stoneware, cone 5/6 in an electric kiln. Potters Choice: Lusterous Jade, Blue Rutile, Deep Firebrick. Sahara High Fire: Oatmeal. Laguna Morocan Sand: Bamboo Ash, Agate, Colonial White. Standard Ceramic Glaze: Chambray, Moss, Midnight Sky, Irridecent Iron, Iron Red, Cream, Matt Brown. And Shino from Carla at Carla's Clay in Sarasota, Florida.
