Paramount Pictures has provided /Film with the exclusive premiere of the first teaser trailer for Up in the Air, which is an alternative cut created by Reitman specifically for the internet. The teaser is based around a speech that Bingham gives at motivational speaking gigs. Its a very Fight Club-esque philosophy — that the things you own, and the relationships you carry, end up owning you and weighing you down. And this is the key philosophy of Ryan Bingham, who lives his life traveling around the world, free of relationships, family or compromises.

didn't realize how much I love this movie. Avatar and the other films nominated for best picture are great but this film is just amazing.

@ItsFizikal Your viewership is what is missing notes. You must watch this movie again if you feel that way. The whole point of the monologue in the trailer is that he has convinced himself that people are "sharks" and can live a solitary life, yet as the movie goes on, the world he has constructed for himself begins to disintegrate. After what happens with Alex, he swiftly runs back to his comfort zone, resigned to a single life.As for the people who get fired, they learn to value more than work
