I thought I would take a break from comedy, once again, and write a serious song. Let me know what you think, and I promise there are more comedy and serious songs on the way!

Nah, don't sell yourself short - people who are good at things, especially art-type things, are their own worst critics because they see all the flaws in their work, whereas those of us without the talent only see something really cool. That's what I tell people who criticize their sketches or paintings or poems - remember that the audience doesn't know what it's supposed to be. Do things with confidence and people will assume it's on purpose. :)
