@clubindiana4 He could be gay. I mean he says that he loves broadway musicals and that is where he draws inspiration for his Gospel plays. But we dont know his sexuality for sure. And if he is gay it doesnt take away from how blessed and talented he is. I love his films and I love his plays more. I feel like I'm at Broadway whenever I see his shows. And he can sing his butt off just like Tamela and David Mann and all those other actors he hires to play those roles. TYLER CAN SING.

@dbastard1977 What shows do you classify as "low brow humor"? As for reality TV, they could cancel 98% of it and I wouldn't care either. As for Perry's stuff, maybe it's just that I've watched quite a bit of TV but I've heard all his jokes before and the laugh track has to be one of the worst. No one laughs that hard at lame done-to-death jokes.

He is my idol as a writer myself. What I really like about him is that he's loyal in keeping the same actors in his work and that he gives all that money to a lot of charities for feeding the homeless/poor. He never forgot where he came from.
I really respect his success not just as a fellow African-American but as a person who came from virtually NOTHING to be an A-list movie maker who actually makes great movies and television. I'm very proud of him (even though I don't know him).
