  • The main difference is the engine. The 1200 is a 4 cylinder and the 1500 is a 6. Yes there is a power difference but either bike has plenty to pull itself, 2 riders, and a trailer with no issues. Both bikes need to downshift to drag all that up a mountain but they will both get you to the top! Dry weight of the 1200 Apencade (no oil, gas, personals, etc) is 728 lbs. Dry weight of the 1500 is 794 lbs. They're both a real nice ride.

  • The older Goldwings were great bikes but if it were me, I'd stick with a 1500 or 1800 just because parts are pretty hard to get on the older bikes. That's why I traded my 1200 in for the 1500 I have now.

  • I'm not on a drill team myself but I don't believe they shift. They can get the speed they need during performances just by increasing the RPMs in 1st gear. The 1500s and 1800s weigh in around 800#. When Honda first released the GL1000 it weighed about 600# (no fairing or bags, smaller engine). As long as you keep them under control and balanced, the weight isn't a problem. Women ride them as well as men. Check out Janine... Search YouTube for 11LkCo2d6TU .

  • It's ok Danalia. Those who can't DO try to make fun of other who can. Thanks for the good thoughts though. ;)

  • what is the difference between the 1200 and 1500? power I assume, and speed? wieght as well?

  • Do you guys have to shift everytime you turn and what not? Are they as heavy as they look? I'm thinking about buying and older one but I've only got a Yamaha majesty 400cc, a maxi scooter and it weights 440 pounds. It's either this bike, or a Ridley automatic.

  • Hey dogpoundbrew, where's your team? why don't you show us what you got and proove how good your are that you can critize somebodyelse huh?

  • Nice guys welcome to the states!

  • only 6 members ,,, poor showing,,,,,the flags on the bike are very gay,,,,
