LTTE Warehouse seized

The main Warehouse complex of the LTTE terrorists at Iranapalai is in the hands of the troops.

Our Representative Anura Dorakumbura said it is the storage complex of the LTTE which provided supplies for tiger functions at Iranapalai ,Puthukudiyiruppu and Mullaitivu . The 7th Sinha Regiment of the 582nd Brigade under the 58th Division commanded by Brigadier Shavendra Silva, seized this storage complex after heavy fighting. The terrorists had carried away part of the equipment. The main storage facility stocked food given to the people in addition to school text books and uniforms. These had been stocked along with a large number of LTTE uniforms. The storage complex was camouflaged by a few trees. The LTTE had destroyed the schools and equipment. The Security Forces are further pursuing investigations into their discovery. The troops are of the view that Prabhakaran will not be allowed to participate in this years Heroes Day. The LTTE had looted the sports gear provided by the Government for the youth to improve their skills.
