@ImagineViki Most if not all the actual food is digested in the small intestine, where the calories are then absorbed. It takes 2-4 hours to reach there. If you purge, (I purge straight away) you can get most if not all of it up. I can get it all up because I've been doing it for so long, my Fiancee can get it all up, she can purge by bending over. But some people can't get it all up. She has a BMI of 15.2. She can binge/purge every hour on very bad days,so it does work for some to get it all up

The deal is that she still ate it, she lost control, she failed herself and she failed her friend. Melissa's mad because they have a pact, and it was broken, it was a betrayal of their friendship. Hannah was weak.
Melissa's meant to represent "Ana", and she doesn't forgive, she doesn't let you off for failure.
Besides, your saliva contains enzymes which digest foodand as well as that purging never removes all the food from your stomach.

Why was Melissa mad? She purged the food. It is really easy to go without eating I enjoy starving myself but that's just me.
