Run chkdsk in Windows Vista to scan for bad sectors on your hard drive. If you suspect your HDD is failing, you should replace it.

  • don t download or run chkdsk , try to run it than i restart my computer i skip it than my computer does not boot up........ and when i boot it my files are cleaned....

  • @sweetpw it won't work if u just restart it u have to fully shut it down then turn it on again.

    First of all good videos...

    Since the other day, when i start up my computer,after typing my password, i get a black screen with the message: Location is not available: C:\\Windows\...\Desktop is not accessible ACCESS IS DENIED...

    But this only happens sometimes...

    should I use the Chkdsk?Or do you have any solution, can the problem get worse??
