For one, get off the whole "white boy" scenario that you black people love to pin on us for slavery, as it were spaniards, it was the spanish who started slavery, not us, blame them if you have to blame anybody.

Yes both Native and African Americans, It is an atrocity. But it isn't the "white" people who did it. Its the Christians. Its okay whatever they do because You are not "Wonderful, loving, honest GOOD Christian folks, like Them. Everyone who is in a peaceful, spiritual, loving religion like Paganism are and have also been treated just as bad. I find it UNBELIEVABLE that people can even pretent Christianity is good.

@hannahunney hey look.. i'm a christian and nothing in the bible says to abuse children.. also you don't know that those things can't happen you just assume that they can't.. that alone doesn't prove the bible to be wrong.. let's suppose there is a god.. he could definitely do all those things but that doesn't mean he will just do those things for no reason.. of course you wouldn't see those things happen because there usually is no good reason to split a sea

@KamidakeRed didnt a bunch of Europeans make roots? (sigh) ITS A FUCKING CONSPIRACY
Im Native american and i just find it strange that African Americans believe in god so much when the fact of it is, the white men beat you in to believe that way because to them you where animals religion is why you where Slaves. They Stole your culture and brainwashed you into there way of thinking just like they tried to do my people. They had a saying in there Christian Boarding schools "Kill The Indian Safe The Child" you are what my people fight. You are the by product of cultural Genocide.

@KamidakeRed
I've never quite understood it either. It's good to see that many people have been able to hang on to, or rediscover their culture. Maybe after some time the effects of the major religions can be reversed. Something to hope for.

A cobination of "Christianity" and local "legends" and "superstitions"??? Why is "Christianity" stated as a fact, a real thing, and THEIR beliefs are legends, myths, and superstition? Hello? walk on water, split a sea, heal by magic, burning bushes? OK. That's not a "legend" or a "myth" or a "superstition."
WAKE UP.

I think that's an important point. In terms of the people in the recording and my own position they are all superstitions, though they do make a kinda unnecessary distinction between African Animism and Christianity which puts the later on a bit of a pedestal.
