Whatever you do, NEVER rely on what the personnel of PODS tells you after they destroy your property on delivery of the unit. In May 2008, their PODZILLA (the thing that holds the POD) crushed my trailer by "squeezing it." It was like watching a gutter-ball being thrown; just couldn't stop it!
Their employees (one on his first day- - or so he said) all made promises when I provided the requested pictures of THEIR damage to MY property. They said that they would probably
"comp" me a year to make up for the damage. Months went by - - I had to resend the pictures and emails - - more people were "let go" by PODS. Then they actually want to bill me almost $1000 for the empty POD that has been tying up my driveway for about 5 months in Sacramento. The national part of the PODS company says that these are all local franchises so a customer can't hold National accountable. This is a mess and they still won't fix anything and they send daily e-mails demanding payment after they damaged my property. At one point, they even threatened to sell the contents; they were so messed up that they thought it was in their storage full of my stuff.
I missed out on a summer of possible camping due to these idiots. Report them to the BBB and Departments of Consumer Affairs. They may do OK when they don't damage your property, but they clearly do not live up to their promises when you are the victim of PODZILLA!
PODS is great with their threats in my case, but at each turn, I find more lies. The latest is they claim (October 2008) that I had this behind a locked gate - - which gate, let alone lock, does NOT even exist. Lie after lie. Well, for both you and me, the truth is a complete defense. It can be deemed slander ONLY if something spoken is untrue. I can't wait for PODS to try and justify this continuing misconduct! Good Luck! Let ALL know how PODS handles their legitimate customer claims.

PODS is now threatening to sue me over the video I posted of the damage they did to my former neighbor's driveway. They say it's "slanderous," which I assume is because it does not mention that the company did finally agree to pay for the repairs - but not until AFTER the homeowner had to make numerous phone calls (getting the same kind of response you did) and AFTER video of the damage was posted. I hope your video gets them to take responsibility, (before they take legal action)!
