I'm not at all happy with this, but I'm going to put it up anyway, and hopefully revisit it in once I've overcome the issues. Again, rhythm is all over the place, and despite my concentration I messed up one of the bass notes halfway through. Also, my pedal changes are very obvious, and making them smoother and quieter is something I'll be working on.

  • I also need to get rid of that annoying buzzing - that's my fingering technique that needs work!

  • Awesome! I have to say that you got the chords down very well! With practice it will run smoothly. This instrument is really meant for you, bro! ^__^

  • Hi Scowlingmonkey, You're really doing well. I'm struggling, too, but I didn't have the nerve to video myself. You've got guts; I enjoyed your piece. Keep up the good work. By the way, you should try to attend the Southeast Harp Weekend the last week of October. It's in Asheville, North Carolina. It's a blast.

  • You're doing well - I've been watching your progress! I started 2 years ago on a Pilgrim Clarsach and am eagerly (desperately!) awaiting delivery of my Malvern, also from Pilgrim. I'm praticing on the Clarsach and using a pedal harp in my lessons - bit confusing! I've started doing some of the tunes that FaeryHarper does which are going quite well. She's introduced me to all this lovely music that I might not have otherwise found! Keep at it, it's great.

  • I enjoyed it. Sounds good to me!

  • Everybody has to start someplace and you have a great start. Being a harpist myself, I know the time, effort and devotion one needs in order to master harp playing. Your tone is great. Keep harpooning!
