Huge deficits and skyrocketing debt levels are creating considerable worry. This Center for Freedom and Prosperity Foundation video explains that that government borrowing is excessive - and will get worse in coming decades. But this mini-documentary explains that deficits and debt are merely the symptoms, and a rising burden of government spending is the real problem.

  • This is why there is two Americas. One wants to preserve the traditional America of free markets and low taxes, the other wants a command economy, for which government spending is a feature, not a bug.

"Why else is America the Great Satan"

Iran calls us the "Great Satan" because we don't do things like stone adulterers, homosexuals and non-Muslims.

Are you trying to suggest we SHOULD do these things?

  • Anyone not voting for Ron Paul needs to watch this!

  • Outstanding information and put in a way that the lay person can understand it and done very clearly. Everyone needs to understand these concepts at a very minimum before they can say they understand what the problem is. And if you don't understand the problem, how can you assess any solutions presented.

  • The real problem is freedom. IT's the reason how we're in this mess; voting for sucky leaders based on popularity. We need people to tell us what to do. Why else is America the Great Satan and China is becoming a better superpower?

  • After WWII nearly half of the country worked under a union contract and tax rates for the wealthy were 90%.

Stop trying to police the world with economic hitmen and murdous jackles, reduce the military budget by 85%, and introduce a progessive tax system without loopholes and tax havens for the wealthy.

Cato's arguments are duplicious. First they demand lower taxes to reduce revenue, then they complain that we haven't the revenue stream to pay our debts.

  • @prodigee411 Emotions is the best thing to use when making decisions sometimes and when it comes to health care and bailing out corporations I'm going to always be pissed off with or without facts. Also, remember being Patriotic is an emotion and without it non of this country would exist and if it would of it would be British ruled. People like you try to slander people when in reality all you do is try to help out corrupt government and private corporations and health care you make me sick.

  • @NewRevolutionLeader You're not using critical thinking. You don't have control over your emotions and all your comment is, is an emotional rant. Give facts to support your statements.

  • YOUR RIGHT TAXES WONT HELP and the goverment isent forced to pay depts

so they can have depts forever

  • "Reagan proved deficits don't matter."

    - Dick Cheney 2004

  • @SonnyTheWhiteDwarf it was sorta necessary. Hitler, Italy, and Japan were kinda the mess left by Woodrow Wilson and his unnecessary WWI debacle.
