December 11th, 2009. Dive on the 510 foot former Navy Vessel, Spiegel Grove. Sunk intentionally as the then worlds largest artificial reef, she landed on her side, but then was righted by a Hurricane and now sits straight up vertically. This barracuda didn't seem to mind me with my camera rig in his face. The bottom here is at 130 feet, but the highest point of the structure is at around 70 feet. We did 3 dives on this wreck in 2 days and I will be uploading other clips from these dives.
The one dive I didn't bring my camera on, of course had the best action. A 300 pound Goliath Grouper let me get as close as this Barracuda did, and no camera! That is the Murphy's law of Scuba video.
This is a truly awesome wreck to dive. Currents can get pretty high, but we lucked out this day. The Cargo hold on this thing is so big, you could park a 200 ft yacht inside of it.
