I wrote this.
It's in Am/Cmaj, maybe something else halfway through, I don't know.
When I wrote it, I was thinking about something that I really want but simply am unable to have... for now. I am hopeful about the future, though, and that is why it is in a minor key but ends on a major chord. For me, this is the definition of desire. Particularly when I'm dancing around the C chord, it really comes out to me.
@uncleparsnip Thanks for the info, bud. I tried Dm first, it did not sound right. It was meant to have a Dmaj, haha, so whatever key that changed it to it was intentional (even if I didn't know what I was doing). Ah, well, desire lots of things. People, for one (someone waiting for me, far away), a home, job, god lots of things. I don't know, best analogy I can give is going from one mountain top to another and seeing the valley you have to go down and up. Hope that makes sense.

yeah, its in Am for the most part but the D chord throws it out of key. It is more like A melodic minor at this point. Replacing the D with a Dm would keep it in key throughout...
just incase anyone is interested
well played though, but what is it that you desire and are longing for? And why is it impossible to have at this time?
