  • My wife passed away in 1997. I remember dancing with her in our living room to this song. It was ours.

  • One of the most beautiful songs Ive ever heard, & I dont belive any one could do it as good as Vince & company. I lost my Wife a year ago, 01-01 2011, we were married a little over 50 yrs. She was 16 & I was 19 in 1960,Im 70 now. If you wanted to see what true love could be, look at us.

  • My parents are celebrating 54 years together today, and this is their song. When I wanna see how true love should be, I just look at them.....Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad! I love you both so much..

  • Vince Gill your a legend your voice is so beautiful very gifted an talented man!!

  • John Hughey was one of the most sought after steel players in the country. He so craftily plays the ultimate steel solo and the key change on the turnaround just sends chills up my spine. He is missed. Vince personally called John to get him to play on the session in which "Look at Us" was recorded. That lead to 12 years of performing with Vince. Both men are class acts..

  • This should be a lesson on steel playing. All the decisions when to and when NOT to play, the way he holds off on the steel for the first verse, and the way John Hughey "answers" the lyrics, AMAZING, and Vince and the audience realize it .It's also an example of "it's not what you play, but how you play it". Soooo important in evocative steel playing.A hero, fer shure!

  • John hughey one of the finest pedal steel players ever, Vince grabbed him up right after Conway Twitty passed away.Vince knew if he didn't someone else would have.

RIP John what a great man, great picker Thanks for all those beautiful licks!.

  • Conway Twitty's steel player I meant.

  • Was that John Conway's steel player??

  • @ldybugg56 thank you...im getting use to it now...im not gettin any younger..life is what it is i guess

  • Talk about your emotion. No-one cries like John Hughey! He's blowin Vince's mind, and holds back back sooooo elegantly. If that little solo at the end doesn't bring a tear to your eye , you may not be listening.
