We are lucky here in Northern NSW we have plentiful rainfall and can grow more food than we can eat. However the cities in SE Australia obtain their water from a long way away.
The food that we grow is grown in areas that are drying up because of climate change. Desdpite the recent rains, the wheat belts of WA and western NSW have had a drought for 15 years and continue to be vulneravble to climate .change. Instead of taking action on climate change our govrnments are exporting more coal. The Greens are the only party that has had consistent policies to address climate change. The Greens policy is to put a price on carbon and invest in renewable energies right now.
