This interesting project analyzes the divergent philosophies of construction that distinguish Toyota and General Motors. The early car manufacture in the "West" emphasizing "top-down" control models catapulted GM to fame early on, but in the modern period it is the cooperative relatively egalitarian framework of Toyota that holds the day today.

  • You guys need to wake up! Look at sales, look at who is shutting down and who is expanding. Wait till the Indians and Chinese weigh in.

Stupid, overpaid CEOs ruined our car industry. Paid so well for stupidity.

  • I've got a 10 year old Ford and I'm running it into the ground. My daughter has an old Honda & she's doing the same thing, I just hope it lasts her for the two years of vet school she's got left - that would be awful to graduate with a student loan AND a car loan!
