Sorry - I love Ute Lemper's work, but this is a ghastly version. The German is fine: the English is forced to the point of being ludicrous. My favourite covers are the Gisela May ?v=IKoht4u4oAk and Anne Kerry Ford ?v=3eENWTA0bs4 ones.

The German original was subtitled "The dream of the kitchen maid" - the song symbolises the built-up resentment of the lowly employee, fantasising about what she would do to everyone demeaning her.
