Sigh...
It's a shame this scene wasn't handled better. It had an opportunity to truly be one of the most touching scenes in a video game, but was glossed over. Please feel free to check out my forums for my further insight on what Bioware should have done differently in my opinion.

Also, to those wondering. Setting your melee DPS to cautious and making them run from the boss is pretty much key. The part that took forever was literally pausing every 5 seconds to issue commands. At least for me, this fight revolves around pausing, moving, unpausing. rinse and repeat. Also, splitting up your party members is vital. At the end, I just kind of rushed him down (as I was getting a bit fed up with the fight), but a big key is knowing 'who' the boss is attacking and moving them away. Best to do that split up. It is an extremely long and tedious boss fight however

I think your problem in the cutscene is your complaing more about the person you play, rarther then the fact you are playing. This game is ment to be played how you see fit, not how Hawke sees it, it likes complaining about the same issue in WOW etc. I mean no disrespect and I do understand what you mean, but I dont agree its a bad cutsene, its showing the outcome from your tactic to keep her there, not the person your playing.

If you put the grey warden in the deep roads with you cause hey, darkspawn, you don't get that lousy death scene.
