What a blast! This shows just how awesome Mother Nature can be! People died because they missed Her speech. Had someone observed the decline of animals on these islands and taken more seriously those tiny shaking of earth. They should have survived!

You forgot to mention the explosion made the loudest sound in recorded history and the shockwave circled the earth 7 times.
