@Athenatious I've heard many diehard D&M fans were not able to watch Marlena with Roman, which is sad because they had a great storyline, but totally understandable. To me, it would have been like having J&M in love all those years, and then having Marlena end up with Roman in 1998. That would have been a slap in the face to all the J&M fans, so yes, I feel your pain :)

I have to admit, it was the twin storyline that got me hooked on Days. I remember it was over a Summer break....DON & MARLENA was one of Day's first Super Couple. They were never the same after DJ's death. That to me was one of the most senseless death of a child on daytime tv.

I've always loved John & Marlena, but after watching these early years scenes I really love Don & Marlena!!

I just found this stuff! This is great! I don't remember these years at all, my mother told me Don and Marlena were married and about DJ, or else my knowledge would have just started in the Roman/Marlena years.
