@david292978 on the dealer sticker of the car it will list where the parts and assembly specific to the vehicle come from etc. Dealer will tell you as they must be truthful when you ask.

I would never buy an American built BMW- they're just as bad as Mexican built VW's, total junk and built by lazy fat Americans who care about stretching out their day by clocking OT hours rather than passionate about their job to build quality cars.

I've had a E85 Z4 for 8 months. Roof motor failed, rear coil spring broke, Sat Nav antenna has failed, inside door handle is loose, passenger window glass mountings broke and the door mirror glass dropped out (which has never happened before even in my cheapest first cars!) And then there's all the rattles and squeaks, NOT what I expected from a BMW. My dad's 3 Series is rock solid so maybe there really is something to be said about US built cars. My previous honda was flawless.

Trust me about American workers. They suck!

I use to work at a Toyota frame plant. Man they were all bad workers. That's the down side of my country.

They were lazy! They didn't really inspect the frames as Toyota told them to. Toyota would always come into the plant and have to tell them over and over to do better!

My plant was filled with lazy hill billies and Mexicans who couldn't speak English. They were lazy as hell and only cared about kissing the boss's as.s!
