Part of that is because back then they didn't sit and fret about the war itself and walk around holding up the peace sign. They got behind each other and the soldiers and tried to remain upbeat.

My favorite Glenn Miller tune! My great grandparents and grandparents danced to Glenn Miller. I feel lucky to have had this exposure, growing up in my gparents home. Just lost my gma last month. I dedicate this tune to my beloved gma, aged 86. Happy New Year Everyone!
